MEET GIDEON LE ROUX

Gideon is an Internationally trained practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine with 20-plus years of experience.

His primary modality is Acupuncture. He has also been a teacher of Tai Qi and Gi Gong for a similar amount of time. In addition, he consults in homes and businesses, creating cures using Feng Shui.

Gideon's passion is rooted in his innate comprehension of Chi (Ki, Prana, Energy). To this end, he made an in-depth study of traditional Chinese signs, by studying classical works such as the I- Ching, the Yellow Emperors Classic and the Confusions Primary texts, which he employs in consultations and treatments. Recently he has created acupuncture-based treatments for facial rejuvenation – a relatively non-invasive aesthetic approach that yields wonderful results. He continues to manage many patients seeking relief in painful conditions such as sciatica.

His approach to advice with clients is comprehensive. Treatment includes Acupuncture, tuina, cupping, guasha, and moxibustion. He uses counselling and strategies to tailor his advice to specific living situations, keeping in mind orientations and cultural identification.

Gideon recently returned to South Africa, his birth country, to assist his parents. With him, he brings skills honed abroad on four continents. Gideon is committed to continuous self-education to expand his knowledge and wisdom. He is driven to teach and mentor, with a special interest in young men. Currently, he is enrolled in a study of the Jungian approach to the deep subconscious mind.

In addition to Chinese Medicine, Gideon is an author and accomplished chef. He has a curious mind and loves people and puzzles. He enjoys nature, walking, swimming, movies, and, above all, his children.
